EVENT: Industry Open House for 2nd Century Plan Near-Term Construction Projects

Amtrak and the Union Station Redevelopment Corporation (USRC) will host a 2nd Century Plan Industry Open House for upcoming construction-related solicitations at Washington Union Station on Thursday, June 8.

Washington Union Station’s 2nd Century Plan is a comprehensive improvement initiative comprised of multiple projects that seek to double passenger and train capacity by modernizing and expanding station facilities over the coming decades. The 2nd Century Plan is informed by the 2012 Master Plan which set a vision for both near- and long-term growth goals for the station.

The Industry Open House will connect Amtrak and USRC’s senior project leaders with interested private sector professionals to learn more about the upcoming construction solicitations for near-term station and rail infrastructure improvements including construction management and general contractor solicitations.

The event will be held at the Columbus Club located through Washington Union Station’s Main Hall on June 8th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Open House will include time for networking followed by a brief presentation on key projects, solicitation guidelines and station tours.
