Amtrak Completes Summer Infrastructure Renewal Work

Amtrak has completed its summer infrastructure renewal work at New York Penn Station, allowing the Empire Service, Ethan Allen Express, Adirondack, and Maple Leaf trains to return to New York Penn Station on Tuesday, Sept. 4 as planned. Since Saturday, May 26, these four trains that travel to and from Northern New York and Canada were running in and out of New York Grand Central Terminal to accommodate the track and infrastructure upgrades. Additionally, the Lake Shore Limited has also returned to New York Penn Station, reconnecting direct service between Chicago and New York City.
